Biography
Dr Pong is a consultant neonatologist at Penang Adventist Hospital, Malaysia. Since 2010, he has been an instructor of the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) ( Certified by American Academy of Pediatrics), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)(Certified by American Heart Association) and a lead instructor of the S.T.A.B.L.E. Program. All the above life support education programs involve medical simulation and Dr Pong has vast experience in this field. He is also a certified ECMO ( Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation ) specialist and ECMO simulation is part of his routine teaching activities. He was certified as an instructor in medical simulation by the Institute for Medical Simulation recently. He has been actively involved in teaching doctors and nurses at Allied Health Centre of Excellence in Penang (AHCoE), a NGO with one of the most well-equipped state-of-the-art medical simulation centre in Northern Malaysia. He is currently the Medical Director of the Neonatal Resuscitation Program at Penang Adventist Life Support Education Centre. He is an associate lecturer of the Penang Medical College and a member of the Society for Simulation in Healthcare.

Biography
Dr. Verklan's main research emphasis is on the development of the fetal and neonatal cardiopulmonary and autonomic nervous systems as evaluated by linear and non-linear methods of analysis. She works with the University of Houston Superconductivity Center and uses magnetocardiography to obtain heart rate signals from the fetus and EKGs to obtain physiologic variability from the neonate. Terese has taught in all programs (baccalaureate, masters and doctoral (both PhD and DNP) prior to coming to UTMB. Currently she is teaching in the PhD program, GNRS 6350 Clinical Nurse Investigations in Nursing Grant Proposal. Dr. Verklan still works at the bedside in a Level IIIC Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. She is an internationally recognized expert in the care of neonates and consults both nationally and internationally as a Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist on matters related to the care of the newborn. Dr. Verklan is a member of several editorial boards and is the Associate Editor for Nursing and Health Sciences and a Contributing Editor for the Journal of Perinatal and Neonatal Nursing. She also reviews for nursing and medical journals.

Biography
Dr Frederik Loersch MD has his expertise in intra- and interhospital transport of pre- and newborn baby's. He is senior consultant and has been for the last 12 years coordinator of the Study Group of transport neonatology at the University Hospital Mannheim. Though a large ECMO (Extra Corporal membran Oxygenation) Programm and a delivery room who ist dezentral to the NICU there are a lot of experience with transport of Newborn baby's. He has developed a hybrid bed solution after years of experience in research, evaluation, teaching and administration for a save transports. With the hybrid there was moren than 1000 intrahospital transports in the last years. He is also an external consultant for KITS (children intensiv transport system) for the European air ambulance. He has developped a intrahospital unit for newbors for transports under ECMO, NO and high frequenz ventilation. Dr Loerschs primary research interests include pediatric and neonatal transports, ECMO, RSV related diseases and neonatal nutrition. He was the leading investigator of the first ECMO transports in Europe.
